 Today we started on a new project where  we had to write a poem about our culture. The poem has to have alliteration, hyperbole, simile and Personification. My poem is about my biracial Identity. I am half Trinidadian and half Honduran.  The Poem is mainly about both of my sides, cultures, and food. Today was a good day. I can’t wait to present tomorrow.

 Today we started on a new assignment where we had to read a new poem, and Do a worksheet. The assignment consisted of reading the poem, then going on the Back and answering the questions on a separate sheet of paper. We had another piece of paper where we had to write the rolls And oppressions of the characters in the poem. The poem was named. Let’s make America again, and it was mainly about the people in America and how some things in America are unfair. Today was a good day. However, we have to finish the assignment Thursday.

 Today we started on a new assignment Which is about the four poems we read a couple weeks ago. We have to write the topic of the poem, and then write the theme and textual evidence that supporting the theme. Second, we have to Write a question that pertains to the poem, then write evidence and explain it. The last thing we have to do is write two claims with evidence, and explaining how This claim makes sense. Today was an OK day I wonder Who is going to present first tomorrow.

 Today we are reading a new poem, called mother and son. This poem is about a son going to his mother to ask for advice about life. The first part of the poem starts with the phrase life is not a crystal stairs. This phrase means life is not perfect and they put examples such as having tax on the stairs and splinters. The theme of the story is that when you go through a rough patch in life, you have to keep on going even though it looks bad. Today was a good day and I wonder what we’re gonna do next week.

  Today we started to annotate another poem Called I too by Langston Hughes. The poem was mainly about discrimination and segregation in America. And also how America grants opportunities, freedom, diversity, and equality. The author was talking about how even though white people are citizens of America Black people are too. And that Tomorrow will be a better today in America.

 Today we started on annotating a new poem that was about liberty and freedom. One of the Themes Of the poem was, there is no freedom without liberty. The poem mainly talked about how people had freedom, but didn’t have the resources to thrive. We had to annotate and defined certain words in the poem, and talk about real life problems. Today’s class was good. I wonder what we’re gonna do next week.

  Today We did two Assignments, which were a common lit, and a poem assignment. You’re welcome first assignment we had to do The poem assignment, and the poem was called Negro speaks  of rivers. Then we had to answer questions about the poem, and then do the next assignment. where we had to reach chapter 9 of the great Gatsby. And then go on and answer some Questions in the way. Constructive responds..

 Today we had A substitute for first period and an assignment on canvas. The assignment pertain To reading chapter 7 of the great Gatsby. Then answering some questions on common lit which were multiple-choice. And the last part was a written response talking about the love story of Daisey And Gatsby In their early days. Today was a good day, and I wonder what we’re gonna do tomorrow.

 Today we continued the presentations for the great Gatsby project. The first thing we did was a black history, bell ringer. Then the rest of the class got to present their products. Most of the people in my class did the trashcan in the website project instead of the playlist, and I was the only one who did the playlist. Today was a good day, but next week we’re gonna start the next chapter of the great Gatsby. 

We presented our project on the great Gatsby. I had to delay my project, because I didn’t know how to insert the music into the PowerPoint. But then I went and played my embarrassing album of music. The class liked it, so I was fine with it. Most of the class did the trash project instead of the other projects I wonder because it was probably easier. Today was a fun day Because People like the type of music I played.

 Today we started on a new assignment from the great gatsby book. We had to Read chapter 7 And answer part, one of the questions for chapter 7. After that, we had a card where we had to answer a question, then write it on the back of it. My question was find an example of an Opinion in the chapter. Today was a good day. I wonder what we’re doing Thursday. 

Today we started on  Our great Gatsby Projects. I picked the project where you make an album about the character you chose. The character I chose was Jay Gatsby Because I heard more about him than the other characters. The first I used for the project was here’s to the farmers gatsby’s Family are farmers. The song I used was started from the bottom By Drake gatsby Started on a farm and now lives in a mansion.

 Today we started Class we’re doing a common assessment which is manageable for every American literature class. The communist was very complex in the questions however, I still got it done on time. After we were With the test, the teacher told us about a project we had to do for the weekend that was due Wednesday. Project is about picking a character from the great Gatsby and then you choose which thing you want to do for the project. The options Are researching websites that the character might go on or predicting what the character might throw in the trash or Making a playlist that the character might listen to.

 Today we had a substitute teacher however, we also have an assignment. The assignment we did today was about reading chapter 6 of the great Gatsby, then answering questions. The assignment was very long Because it had parts where I had to describe, and Explain my reasoning when I answered. The first part the assignment was very long, and I didn’t really do The assignment until I got home. Today was a good day. I got to relax and not really do work.
