 today we going t to finish the assignment we started yesterday. the questions were mostly about visualizing some of the phrases of the poem. for example: in Constantly by Risking Absurdity," what does Ferlin speak of the poet "performing entrechats / and sleight-of-foot tricks," What kind of dancing skills do you visualize? I put as my answer ballet dancers because they do foot tricks with perfection and beauty. today was a good day because I got to finish my work on time and I wonder what we are going to do Thursday.

 today we were given another poem however we are supposed to annotate it. then after we annotate the poem we have to answer the question on the back. the poem is called "constantly risking absurdity", which means wildly unreasonable. the theme of the poem is being creative is a slow process and the taste of success isn't good enough. today was a good day however we didn't get to finish the poem so we have to finish tomorrow.

today we are going to finish the rest of the presentations for the poems. most of the presentations were the classmates reading the poem and then summarizing the poem. then people had their individual assignments which they presented then we wrote down the themes. the rest of the illustrations that other people did were less work on than mine. today was a good day however I wish we didn't have to do an assignment with this poem presentation.

 today we presented our poems; we had to do an assignment while others were presenting.  we have to write the name of the poem and then write three things we learned. then we had to write two themes that the people that were presenting said.  we did four to five poems then that really didn't make sense but we almost finished. today was alright but we are going to finish the rest tomorrow.

 today we worked on our parts in our poem assignments for the rest of class. I had to finish my drawing on the other side which was the dark side of it with the trees and tumb stones. the look I'm going for is good and then sorrow for the poem activity. However, the sorrowful part is just sad it can be beautiful in a good way. today was a good day however I know next we have to present our poem to the class.

 

 today we were put into groups and were passed out different assignments for one poem. the assignment I  had to do was to create a drawing of what I thought the poem was projecting. my poem was about grieving and that everything good has the end of one day. I am drawing two sides one that is happy and another sad side. the point is to display how one side is happy and good, however, one day it will turn out to be sad and gloomy.

 today we did an assignment in our vocab books for the whole class. we had to first write down the vocabulary from exercise 25, then complete the other side of the paper, exercise 26. the first exercise was relatively easy, we had to place the vocabulary words into the blanks of the sentence in a way that made sense. then we had another exercise, a passage, and some questions, but it was the end of the class, so I had to rush. today was great but I wish I had more time to really go over the last part of the assignment.

 today we started a new assignment on the poem we annotated. we had the write an essay about the poem its theme and what happened in the poem. we had the pull stuff from the text and describe stuff in our own opinion. for instance how to boy reacted when he noticed his hand got cut off and how he was acting when blood was spilling out of his wound. I didn't get to finish however I only had 3 more paragraphs to write.

 today we annotated a poem called out out and wrote some notes down. we first talk about the title and what it means. the title was mostly about life and how it can end as quick as blowing a candle. the poem was about a kid who was using a saw and got distracted and cut his hand off. In the end, he died from his injuries in the hospital.

today we took out a sheet of paper and worked on two passages and were going to write a claim if we agreed with the statement or not. we started to read the first passage which was about Dave Chappelle and the incident with the lgbtq+ community getting on him for his Netflix special. the lgbtq+ community said that the stuff Dave Chappelle said about their community was voge and heartfully. the other passage was about the informal part of the Dave Chappelle part of his story and how he was not intending the joke to be heartful. today was good however we had to delay the lesson because we had a fire drill.

 today we were given a slip of paper with an unpopular opinion. then we had to write our agreement with the opinion and then write a disagreement. my topic was kids are not as amazing as people make them out to be. we also had to write a compromise which is like your opinion of agreeing but having however. my compromise was that kids are stubborn however the grow up to be amazing people.

 today we work on making claims for and little passage and write supported claims. first, we wrote damn some topics that are undiscoverable live love, and the ocean. then we wrote if it would be worth it and if yes we wrote why, for example, you would learn from your experience or you would be the first person to do it. we also wrote counter-arguments like it could be dangerous or it could be a waste of your time and energy. tomorrow we will continue supporting the claim and writing more details about the claim.

 today we had to do an assignment on illuminating and annotating passages. we had to write down seven facts from the passages. both of the passages had to have seven facts each because we were starting on an informative essay. we are writing an informative essay about college having debt when leaving college and how it accumulates. today's class was good but I can't wait to continue doing my work.

 today we were working on an assignment that involved two articles. For the first article, we had to write definitions of the vocabulary from the passage. most of the words were easy but most of them were confusing. then we had to write claims found in the passage, we had to find 5 claims in both passages and then turn them in on the same day. today was good, disputes I had to rush to get the assignment done.

 today we took notes on how to find claims in the passage. we first annotated the first passage about how driveless cars are a danger the people because of malfunctions. the people who had driverless cars didn't have time to react in an accident while being in the car.  the other passage we annotated was about how driverless cars are going to be the new best thing. driverless care could make traffic less and driving more convenient.

 today we had to finish the rest of the benchmark we didn't finish Tuesday. the benchmark was hard and my teacher is putting the benchmark in as a grade while the other teachers aren't. the last part of the test was very hard because we had to write an argumentative essay about America. the whole point of the test is to see what you know and I didn't know anything so I did bad on that part of the test. today was ok but if I knew more about how to write an argumentative essay I probably could have passed that part.

 today we did assignments left by the teacher on Thursday. the first thing we did was to get a book and then look at the board for what we had to do.  the first assignment was to write down some vocabulary words and their definitions. then we had a position where we had to place the correct vocabulary word in the sentence in order so the paragraph would make sense. today was a good day and I can't wait for what we will do tomorrow.
